Interview by Tim Brown

When & why did you implement music parodies into your career as a comedian?

Music has a way of hacking our minds which I am immune to. Scores align music to action; whereas lyrics are open for interpretation allowing wiggle room to manipulate. “I’m Tripping” (parody of Bad by Michael Jackson) is a perfect example of a door being opened, leading to the speculation of “Is there a message?” If not, what message can I extract? Link to His 13 (song) parodies https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbeh0IhHHtOdLwfhd3R1hKwEQo20hFbu1

Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?

I am head over heels for Taylor Swift. Otherwise, my first cousin who starred in a Middle Eastern reality show; a master of flamenco music. I obsess over classical instruments such as flutes or opera.

Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones?

I don’t think I’ve had the pleasure of vinyl. The only tape I remember owning is Juicy by B.I.G. which ironically was influenced by the Juicy Fruit gum.

How long have you been a comedian and what inspired you?

I don’t relate to the word comedian. I am inspired to be the worst of the worst comedians. There’s a title to behold. A belt to brag about wearing. We all need a foundation (or slippery slope in this case) to begin from. I don’t rear. I come up from the rear.

Have you worked the comedy circuit? What venues do you like the best?

Yes I worked with an Arabic troupe for 12 months. Was the fall guy for an autistic comedian for 24 months. I performed 12 shows here in L.A. at 12 different venues upon my arrival. My favorite venue is a nursing home. Western civilization finds it hard to believe that the mentally ill are in tune with their inner child. The movie Patch Adams (based on a true story) instruments the quote, “Treat a disease you lose. Treat a person you win.”

Have you worked with any other comedians? If not, who would you like to work with?

I find it hysterical that comedians are embarrassed to confess we have teamed up together when standup comedy is about humility (or lack thereof). I want to work with you. The reader. Great minds think alike so let’s put our minds together like Siamese twins.

What is the biggest obstacle for an aspiring comedian?

Tradition. Some cultures cannot fathom the idea of someone laughing at their expense. Would you?

We understand you are an Author as well, tell us about your book?

I have published two installments. History of Humerus & The 4 Humors (a collection of my humor columns while working for the news) plus Why We Never Repeat Jokes? They both wrote themselves; thusly, they are page turners. The words come off the page like “The Butterfly Effect.” History of Humerus is aptly titled because the humerus is the medical term for the funny bone. …The 4 Humors because there are only 4 humors. The foundation of & for all medicine whereby all doctors abide.

Let’s Talk about your music and your last work…

I discuss rappers & their raps – broadcast live on cable. I have a music parody playlist on YouTue, but I also composed a compilation on my Soundcloud entitled Who Is The Top Lyricist of Them All?

What are the plans for the future?

I want to stop doing art. On second thought, I aim to shoot the NRJ movie! https://t.co/Ij20FlRynP
