after High school I started recording demos at a nearby studio then visiting Kingston regularly with a friend who had a production at the time there in Kingston I began to learn about mastering my Craft I was always a underground artist for years performing under the name bappa till it changed to mighty 1ne eventually I landed third place in the jcdc big stage competition and that gave me more confidence sent one of my tracks to a friend in new York Ainsley he introduced me to his producer friend who runs Allstar music group he loved my work and decided to work with me.

When and why did you start playing? I started getting involved in music from the age of 7. my upbringing my family had a few musicians in it and my mom and grandma are great singers in church so they always bring me to church and made sure I got involved in music through the junior choir why I started is because music is the only thing that gives me a peace of mind and I feel comfortable doing

Which famous musicians do you admire? Why? I look up to the great pioneers who paved the way for example Bob Marley Peter tosh bunny wailer etc I looked up to these person because they helped to influence me in doing music as a career

Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones? I was influence by Bob Marley and the wailers music Garnet silk Dennis brown just to name a few

Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s? my favorite musicians definitely would be Bob Marley and the wailers third world band sizzla real thing album is one of my favorite album along with Dennis brown albums as well

Have you been in competitions? Fleadh’s? Any prizes? i entered a performing competition and came third it’s called the jcdc big stage competition I won a trophy and prize money

Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV I performed on many different platforms concert’s TV shows etc and the reception was outstanding

What makes this kind of music “good” to you? this type of music is good to me because it makes me feel alive and joyful and is still sending a message of positivity

Why did you choose to play this kind of music? I choose this type of music because of the environment I grew up in reggae music gives my soul a spiritual healing from the oppression of the system

Let’s Talk about your music and your last work… my music is of multiple purpose it’s to educate meditate and have fun currently working on my debut album

How do you feel about the internet in the music business? the internet in the music makes it more easier for an artist to reach a bigger audience through digital streaming uploads and downloads and with social media it makes recognition of an artist more easier to go main thank to my friend Ainsley that connected me with a friend of his at Allstar Music Group Inc, in New York, the managing Director called C-lekta has been pushing the music out there and been on point.

What are the plans for the future? my plan for the future is to become successful enough to start my own label so I can give back and help other struggling musicians to rise

How has your music evolved since you first began playing music? my music has evolved well getting some international recognition having my music getting a lot of streaming on the digital platforms provided major airplays and linking up with a major

Could you briefly describe the music-making process? my music making process is spiritual I have to be comfortable and just get in my creative zone in an environment that suits me and just creating my vibe to compse
