When and why did you start playing? With seventeen years I started as a DJ, I worked as a waiter in a nightclub, the DJ was my friend and sometimes he let me play for a while, later I studied music theory and percussion in Albal, Valencia (Spain).
At Yamaha Music School, I studied with the composers and producers Ben Beiny, Ricardo Curto and J.M Aboga.
I am attracted to electronic music.
Which famous musicians do you admire? Why? I admire Jean Michel Jarre, Cliff Martinez … I would say some more, but these are the main ones.
Jarre and Martinez are artists that don´t go out of style, and their productions are incredible.
Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones? Yeah sure!! my father had a lot of vinyls and an old record player, among these vinyls was Death had a price of Ennio Morricone, I was about 14 or 15 years old and I played it again and again, I liked it !!
Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s? My favorite musicians are Jean Michel Jarre, Cliff Martinez, Daft Punk.
I also like the group U2, Imagine Dragons, Estopa (Spanish group). I was also a fan of Michael Jackson when I was 17 years old.
Freddie Mercury seemed brutal to me.
What makes this kind of music “good” to you? the type of music that I do is very versatile, it is in the electronic style, but I can vary between chillout, house, techno, even dubstep.
I like electronic music and within it are all substyles.
I like what I do, because I like music in general, almost all styles, that’s why I admire Jean Michel Jarre, because he can adapt to anything.
Why did you choose to play this kind of music? Studying at Yamaha Music School with Ben Beiny. It was a course to introduce us to the world of TV, music for fashion, documentaries, sports, leisure centers …
for that reason, an announcement (according to the style) can include a song dubstep, house, chill.
Later I started to release my music on all platforms.
How do you feel about the internet in the music business? Well, I feel pretty good!
Today I think it’s easier to enter the world of music as an independent artist, there are also many more labels than in the 80, so I’m happy. I have signed with some labels too, and that gives me more visibility.
I like how I’m growing little by little on Spotify and other platforms.
What are the plans for the future? I’m producing an album with pretty dark sounds. I would like to do a live in my studio with some of the songs to present the album, even make a video clip.
How has your music evolved since you first began playing music? My music has evolved step by step, the rungs are noticing.
Could you briefly describe the music-making process? 1 idea, 2 seek appropriate sounds, 3 capture chords, melodies, rhythm, effects. 4 clean what I think is left over. 5 mix 6 master
all this is sometimes altered, according to the composition, hehehe
