Author, actor, blogger, musician and director. Filippo Ruggieri has experimented with any form of art despite his young age.
He made his debut with a first work in theater at the age of 24, has already collected several international nominations and, on a musical level, he has been active for about 10 years between demos and official records.
He is currently working on several projects, including a book from which a film script will be extracted, several shows and always new music.
His great challenge at the moment is to find a manager or a producer who knows how to enhance it and sell it at its best, without compromising with his art, after 24 years of pure self-production.

When and why did you start playing?
It was a spontaneous thing. at the age of 16 I wrote subjects that made my teachers shiver and I knew I could write, even though I was not a great lover of study. Then over the years I realized that I simply had big problems with the authorities.
This was the flame that moved me, telling me about the world and dreaming about my life, like the title of my outgoing book.
Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?
Fabri Fibra was my mentor. Pink Floyd my mood. The first real musical crush I had for Queen, I could not listen to them, stole a compilation of music from a friend and listened only to them.
Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones?
One of the records that marked my adolescence was “Marcio” by Mondo Marcio. I listened to him before entering the high school from which they expelled me and I felt understood.
I don’t want to discredit milestones. I’m talking about Neffa, Kaos One, Truce Boys etc.
Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s?
In this historical moment, I consider only Massimo Pericolo interesting. But I don’t listen to him much because after the success the artists live a phase in which they are not theirs and they are a little bit on my cock.
Have you been in competitions? Fleadh’s? Any prizes?

Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV
For a year I organized hip hop events. I was obsessed and organized at least one every two weeks. I opened to several national artists, such as Inoki, Shade, Capo Plaza, Gemitaiz etc.
What makes this kind of music “good” to you?
I’m a hybrid … Halfway between Hip Hop (my roots), indie and quality light music.
Why did you choose to play this kind of music?
I don’t make choices when it comes to art. I let myself be carried away by needs. Until I used rationality … I never felt really free.
Let’s Talk about your music and your last work…
After a triad of EPs, I started focusing on the production of singles. “My Community” has just come out, a song I wrote inspired by a girl. I felt protected with her, like a toxic who is kept away from drugs and one night I immortalized my emotions.
The next single is called “Como Diego”. I’m talking about the problem of divorce, metaphorizing Maradona’s life.
How do you feel about the internet in the music business?
It’s practically my environment … I was born on the internet and I’ll die like everyone else. It makes me sad, I would like to play more and have a direct confrontation with the public but I only had it when I created it and in any case you are not free. If you are an organizer you have to think about the business and I want to make the artist not the entrepreneur.
What are the plans for the future?
I’m writing a book and I’m trying to sell a movie I’ve already written. Musically speaking I would just like to get as many people as possible playing. I am sure that if I had a good distribution opportunity the audience would start to see each other again in my lyrics.
How has your music evolved since you first began playing music?
Life has matured my lyrics. The theater has given me awareness in interpreting it.
Could you briefly describe the music-making process? (if you want special questions be free to write them by yourself…
Lately it has simplified a lot. I feel an emotion that suffocates me and I free myself writing a poem. If a melody is born from this I will transform it into a piece.
