When and why did you start playing? I started pursuing a professional career in the entertainment industry 2014, God gave me the gift of singing, I am sharing this gift with the world.
Which famous musicians do you admire? Why? I have many musicians that I admire, but if I must name a couple, they are Gladys Knight and Fantasia. Gladys Knight because of her soulful sound, her humble personality, her sweet spirit and because of her longevity in the music industry; next is Fantasia because of her personal story and her soulful voice.
Were you influenced by old records and tapes? Which ones? Old songs are a part of my DNA, as a young girl my parents and grandparents and other relatives always played music. We did not just sit and watch TV all the time we were literally engaged in family functions that involved singing, dancing and having fun.
Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s? The music industry has too many great musicians young and old, past and present, to single out a favorite.
Have you been in competitions? As a young aspiring singer, I was involved in singing competitions and youth groups.
Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV. I have performed in public for more than 15 years. I’ve done minor and major concerts, numerous radio interviews, and I am working on a short film.
What makes this kind of music good to you? What makes this kind of music “good” to me is the passion and soul that can be found in the music.
Why did you choose to play this kind of music? I chose to sing this kind of music because I grew up on it and it’s soothing to me.
Let’s Talk about your music and your last work. My music is good for the soul and it is self-healing. I have a message in all my lyrics, I desire to be a blessing to someone in some way. My last project is called “Metamorphosis The Transformation”. This project is my way of letting go and moving forward to receive everything that God has for me.
How do you feel about the internet in the music business? I feel that the internet plays a significant part in the music business. It has made the world a whole lot smaller and moved the industry into the digital age.
What are the plans for the future? My plans for the future are to increase the positive influences on our community through my music. I want my fans to know that real music still exists.
How has your music evolved since you first began playing music? My music grows with me, as I elevate and evolve so will my music. Life brings about many different changes and experiences, I intend to capture as much as I can in my music.
Could you briefly describe the music-making process? The music making process for me begins as a vision in my mind or a melody in my thoughts.
