CRIMINAL PARTY BIOGRAPHY
Founded in 1986 by Fabio Vinciguerra, guitarist and author, Criminal Party was one of the first italian garage punk band with a female voice and songs with italian lyrics. After several local concerts and a participation in a radio program of the Rai-regional on the most interesting emerging groups of the period, they splitted up in 1988. Some songs of this period are found as bonus tracks in the 1st CD released in 1999 with new members.
This CD was well reviewed by the most popular italian magazines.
They splitted up again in 2001 after participating at an importan italian tour organized by TIM.
Reformed with new members, they released a new digital EP “Votate me” with socio-political themes in 2013. This EP is more pop oriented with garage sounds than the previous CD. The new CD (with new two vocalist), “La revolution bourgeoise”, which will also have a physical CD version, is more punkish with reminiscent of the late ’70 californian sound. The themes, once again, are focused on politics and the current crisis of the bourgeois middle class due to the power of the world establishment.
