Tell us about where your from?
I’m from Forest Heights; it’s a town/neighborhood located in the city of Oxon Hill, MD. Off of 210, ’round where dem’ animals off the chain and there’s no fence; Come ’round here faking and your family gon have to find 6, people that cared about you to pick you up when you’re laying stiff. Shout out to the National Harbor @ Oxon Hill.
How long have you been doing what you’re doing and how did you get started in the first place?
I’ve been involved in making music for 20+ years to date. I’d say that I got started in music clearly by just being a fan of hip-hop music from the late 80’s to early 90’s and through. Before songwriting was even a skill that I possessed, freestyling with friends in weed cyphers as we articulated our lives & styles is where my artistry was birthed. As far as “What I’m doing?!” At this moment in my career as a artist I’m unlocking levels and connections daily so “What I’m doing” is “Being progressive.” I just vow to stay ambitious with tenacity in executing succession of opportunities as I continue to engage within the industry.
Who were the first influences on your music and style?
I would say that the first influences on my music and style would have to had been N.W.A., Scarface & Geto Boys, Spice 1, Wu-Tang, and 2Pac. It was a new found attitude in music from what I was familiar with hearing from artist like Fu-Shnickens, Pharcyde, De La Soul, EPMD, and 2 Live Crew. It was more “Raw!”
In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?
From my perspective, Jay-Z still reigns in my book as the most influential & successful artist in my genre “to-date!” I consider Jay-Z the “Stronghold” of hip-hop in respects of his strides, work, efforts, and sacrifices made to solidify a position that enables our culture (hip-hop) to flourish, raise bars, set trends, and sustain as minorities in the major league.
What aspect of the music making process excites you most, and what aspect discourages you the most?

In your experience thus far, what is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed? And one you didn’t follow, but now know for sure that you should have?
The best piece of advice that I’ve taken from this business and followed is that “The true grind consists of 10% product & 90% promotion.”
And the one thing that I didn’t adhere to was connecting, engaging, and building solid relationships within the music industry. Unbeknownst to the effects of the lack thereof.
Which ingredient do you think is most essential in making your sound and style the way it is?
I think the most essential ingredient in making my sound and style the way it is would have to be my knowledge of self coupled with confidence. I’m pretty much secure with who I am and what I’ve been doing with my music & brand.
What single are you currently pushing and what will you be dropping next?
The last couple of months I’ve pushed a few singles from my EP with names like ‘Grind’, ‘#Bad’, and ‘Bliss’; All currently sustaining good traction in the streaming universe.
What can fans expect from you in the future and where can they stay up to date on your movement?
