CONCRETE MILE was formed in 2018 by songwriter/vocalist/guitarist WEB BURRELL and bassist/vocalist/recording engineer TIM STARNES. In 2019 they added guitarist/vocalist GEORGE OSWALD and drummer/percussionist MARK MORROW. The band recorded and released their self-titled 10 song debut during the 2020 pandemic.

The Band:

WEB BURRELL spent several years as a studio musician in Los Angeles, recording with luminaries Waddy Wachtel, Randy Bachman, and Gary Usher. Web co-produced, and performed on the album There’s An Innocent Face (Elektra Records) with Curt Boettcher, earning him voting membership for the Grammys. Web also released an independent 12-song solo record on which he sings and plays all the instruments. His performance highlights include the New Orleans Jazz Festival, Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, and an opening set for U2 on their first U.S. tour.

He has recorded orchestras in London and Switzerland, contributed original music to numerous film scores, and manages CineSamples, a virtual instrument company serving film composers worldwide.

George’s melodic playing, singing and songwriting are featured on the album “Reclamation” by David Swanson (RCA Records), and his improv skills are highlighted on releases by jam-band o3o (indie BCP Records). George brings a unique blend of sonic sensibilities to Concrete Mile.
