Prasad Krishna, independent artist from India and member of the band “Mad Over Octaves”.
He is a composer, arranger and also a lyricist, strongly believe that any emotions can be conveyed through music and he composes his tracks mostly with more of different and unique patterns.

When and why did you start playing? I started playing piano when I was at my 10th grade and the I really loved exploring it.I went for a formal piano learning and later it became my companion.I started playing piano because I always wanted to learn some instruments and wanted to keep myself closely associated with music.
Which famous musicians do you admire? Why? I admire lots of musicians ,because I feel each one has an individual talent and each one is good at their own genres.I never skip hearing any songs because I feel each song is like a baby and it has its own little cute thing if you closely observe,
Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones? I got more interested towards music because during my school days my dad used to hear songs like Boney M & ABBA frequently.The impact the song Rasputin by Boney M created on me those days was awesome.
Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s? I admire each and every musicians ,songs from AR Rahman,Black eyed peas ,Freya ridings ,Adele,Charlie Puth always ruin my playlists.
Have you been in competitions? Fleadh’s? Any prizes? I have participated in competitions.I participated in Westworld scoring competition for HBO.I participated in recreation contest for Urvasi Urvasi song in Tamil and my lyric was selected by AR Rahman sir himself for the contest.
Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV. I have performed in stage shows during Independence Day and Valentine’s Day celebrations.
What makes this kind of music “good” to you? Any music is good and I personally feel each one has their own comfort zone and once you step out of it you really do a miracle.
Let’s Talk about your music and your last work… I have done music for independent albums and my last work was the song Azhagiya Kadhali which I released a week ago on all music platforms.This song involved many talents like John Vianni,Mrunmayee Phatak,Sri Krishnan ,Raghu Vashista,Freak Sonar,Shobhit Chaturvedi and Yuli Kay.This song gave me more recognition and I want to thank the entire team who supported me .
What are the plans for the future? I have been plans to explore all genre of music and create a unique album which will consist of various artists and various styles of music.
How did you start your carrier initially and what all struggles did you go through?
I started my journey as a piano player and slowly I started learning sound engineering,my parents always supported me and my wife has always been a pillar of strength to all my works .There are times that I used to ask music companies for releasing my songs and later now I started my own band “Mad Over Octaves”.Now I have a decent fan following and all I do is to satisfy those people who really have trust on me.
