Rating: 5 out of 5.

Does Mulatto have some “Imaginary Smoke” with Rapper Hotpink From ATL, In Her Hit Song ‘Put It On The Floor ft Cardi B’

Mulatto, who now goes by the name ‘Latto’ was signed by RCA Records in 2020 after winning Season 1 of ‘The Rap Game’. Since being signed, @Latto777 has become quite famous for using other people’s songs and recreating already-established music. Such as her debut song ‘Big Energy’ which she recreated Mariah Carey’s hit song ‘Fantasy’ from back in 1995. And ‘Tear The Club Up’ which was originally made by Triple 6 Mafia back in 1995 as well. It seems to be a perpetual strategy that has worked to her advantage for her music career.

Most recently, Latto has seemed to have 1 focus. Making diss tracks. Latto has made a collection of targeted disses in the form of music where she constantly is heard insinuating someone has 100 bodies, has no hit songs, has body odor, and is “ran thru”. Now, people are wondering who is Latto constantly dissing in her music!? Well,  If you’re a fan of rap and hip-hop, like me, then chances are you know exactly who she after in her music. Here are some facts. In 2022 The Rap Artist who goes by the name @therealhotpink released ‘Gingerbread Man’. Let me give you a quick background on Hotpink before we dive into the facts. Rap Artist Hotpink is an underground rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. Who was a legend even before she began making music? According to her website ( http://www.therealhotpink.com ) Hotpink, was the youngest female hustler in the city of Atlanta, leaving the porch at the tender age of 13 where is “worked the streets”, before becoming a legendary “trap star” by the age of 15.

Now, back to the beef.. In Hotpink’s song ‘Gingerbread Man’, which was released in 2022 the rapper says “I got a hunnit bands I don’t f** wit you, so don’t f** with me”. In 2023 Rapper Latto featured on Lola Brooke’s Don’t Play Wit It’  replied “100 bands? WTF is 100 bands! You f*** like 100 n**** and ain’t got 1 man. And ain’t got 1 hit”.. Due to Latto’s verse being quite off-topic to the song she was featured on, we got to see how dedicated Latto was to her rap beef ( imaginary smoke). Latto then goes on to make 2 more songs. The first was titled ‘Put It On The Floor’, the other, ‘Put It On The Floor Again ft Cardi B’, to ensure her voice was heard and her message was clear and her beef was real, by making a part 2 diss track!!. In the song ‘Put It On The Floor’, and ‘Put It On The Floor Again, ft Cardi B’, Latto (whose real name is Alyssa Michelle Stephens) uses the Rapper known as Hotpink, signature adlib in the background while she (Latto) says “And I heard about your pus**, bi***. Armpits like your pus** and it’s giving fish”. She uses Hotpink “HOT” in the background of those specific insults, directly targeting Hotpink. In the exact same song, Latto also uses music lyrics from HotPink’s song titled ‘Give A Damn’. Which was written way back in 2010, to further mock her in her dedicated diss tracks.

While most artists have been inspired by HotPink, apparently Latto has made herself a rap beef. On songs ‘Put It On The Floor’, and the song ‘Put It On The Floor Again’, Latto can be heard rapping the lyrics  “I dun it all, I feel like Shawty Lo. Laughing to the bank” repeatedly throughout the hook on both songs. Almost identical to HotPink’s “Give A Damn” song where she says “I dun it all, I’m Shawty Lo.” And “ I’m laughing hearty hard. Straight to the bank.” With all the diss tracks Latto has been putting out, it doesn’t take a genius to know exactly who she’s been beefing with.

The Rap Artist @TheRealHotPink however, has been affiliated with the music industry for over 15 years. She’s created numerous songs that have inspired many famous artists throughout those years. She’s also the creator of the “Drip” trend with her brand “Her Juice” which has become viral across the world through social media. Just recently in 2023, the rapper was interviewed by SHOUT Radio about artists who she has inspired, and who have positively used her lyrics. The full interview can be found on YouTube.
