The remaining members of Pink Floyd have reunited — for a political statement.
Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason teamed up to protest Israel’s detention of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla. The ship full of female activists set sail from Barcelona to Gaza to highlight the Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip. On Wednesday the ship was intercepted by Israeli forces and was sent to dock in the Israeli city of Ashdod.
The statement on Pink Floyd’s Facebook page said, “Pink Floyd reunites to stand with the Women of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla. David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Roger Waters stand united in support of the Women of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, and deplore their illegal arrest and detention in international waters by the Israeli Defense Force.”
