Ryan Atkins is a Manhattan-based, Jersey-raised singer-songwriter who combines rock and pop with the sensual stylings of soul and R&B. Her music is a spiritual extension of herself, and a channel through which she uses to communicate virtues of positive healing through love and compassion. In her own words, “love heals all and life is what we make it”.
Discovered through a talent agency, Ryan’s influences span the likes of Johnny Gill, Donnell Jones, Tamia, Toni Braxton and Gladys Knight to name a few. Growing up, she was exposed to a variety of ethnicities, cultures and societal classes that gave her a broader understanding of people across all walks of life, which has in turn shaped her approach to music making. Her upcoming single, ‘Human’, echoes these sentiments, and serves as a reminder of the healing power of love.
Ryan has performed for Power 105.1 Showcase, DJ Self Showcase, worked with super producer Red Spyda, Devin Bing, and graced the stage on BX TV Network. Additionally, she has received placements on World Star Hip Hop and on Desert Storm Radio’s blog.
